About Us
Petworks Veterinary Hospital & Pet Resort
Petworks Veterinary Hospital is an AAHA accredited, full-service, small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive wellness, medical, surgical/dental care, behaviour and nutritional counselling as well as specialty services such as canine physical rehabilitation and radioactive iodine therapy. Our Pet Resort offers your pet a place to stay, while you're away including: doggie daycare, boarding for dogs and cats and puppy/obedience classes for your 'best friend'. Retail areas in both the hospital and resort are stocked to meet your pet’s nutritional, recreational and fashion needs.
Our three doctors are supported by a team of experienced Registered Veterinary Technicians (R.V.T.), credentialed Veterinary Assistants and Customer Service Representatives. Rehabilitation is performed by a R.V.T./Certified Canine Rehabilitation Technician. Our Resort Supervisor and Pet Attendants, who are trained in Pet First Aid, are dedicated to the safety and enjoyment of our pet guests. Administrative support is provided to our team by our Practice Manager and Business Office Co-ordinator.
‘Our Services’ will provide you with a complete list of the in-hospital services offered here at Petworks. We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. Our facility includes a well-stocked pharmacy, in-hospital surgery suite, a dental surgery suite, in-house digital x-ray capabilities and a closely supervised hospitalization area. Our integrated medical and administrative software ensures real-time and accurate transfer of information from the medical team to your pet’s medical records.
We also work closely with other local practices to provide them with diagnostic procedures on a referral basis when special services such ultrasound, echocardiography, laparoscopy, radioactive iodine therapy for hyperthyroid cats, and canine physical rehabilitation are required.
At Petworks Veterinary Hospital we strive to offer not only sound advice, but also optimal veterinary care, thus allowing you the enjoyment of your companion for a maximum number of years. Our job is not only to treat your pet when he or she isn't feeling well, but also to help you learn how to keep your best friend happy and healthy.
