We believe that life span and quality of our pets' lives can be greatly enhanced through regular physical exams.  Given the shorter life spans of pets, we recommend twice annual physical examinations. Every year that passes is approximately seven years in your pet’s life. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can detect issues before they become serious health problems. Emergency Care

Please call our main telephone number for instructions for after-hour emergencies. Petworks is a member hospital of the Metro Animal Emergency Clinic so you can always count on care for your best friend any time of the day or night.

Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services

Our hospital is equipped to provide most of the diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.

Surgical Services

Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures including laser and radio-surgical procedures and minimally invasive surgery by laparoscopy.

Anesthesia

We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients. Using modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures.

Radiology Services

Our on-site, modern digital X-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders.

Electrocardiography and Echocardiography Services

We provide ECG and cardiac ultrasound services on-site and provide this service on referral basis to our surrounding colleagues.

Dentistry

Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, dental X-rays, tooth extractions and minor oral surgery.

Laboratory

Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.

Permanent Identification

We offer microchip identification.

Pharmacy

We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos, flea and tick control products and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. We also carry a full line of prescription diets.

Individualized Flea and Parasite Control Programs

We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas and internal parasites for your pet.

Bathing

Routine and therapeutic bathing services are available.

Dietary Counseling

We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance.

Behavioral Counseling

We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression.

Boarding and Daycare

We provide pet boarding and doggie daycare in our large boarding/daycare facility onsite. All boarders receive care from our dedicated staff. Pets may be dropped off and picked up 365 days a year.

Puppy Socialization and Obedience Classes

Classes are on-going and run for five week sessions. Van Tassel Canine Services provides the instruction. Learn how to build a confident, happy pet.

On-site Grooming Services

Natalie's Dog Grooming has been providing grooming services from many years. They provide master grooming styles to both dogs and cats.
